NiceHash is back online! What happened?

Dear NiceHash users!

In the early morning (UTC) hours of November 18, 2020, the NiceHash domain was not reachable. The domain registrar GoDaddy had technical issues and as a result of unauthorized access to the domain settings, the DNS records for the NiceHash.com domain were changed.

To secure all user’s funds, we have immediately frozen all wallet activity. All funds are safe and users will get access to their wallets in the next 24 hours.

NiceHash domain is now back online and all systems are fully operational with the exception of all withdrawals. Withdrawals will resume after the internal audit.

At this moment in time, it looks like no emails, passwords, or any personal data were accessed but we do suggest resetting your password and activate 2FA security. Learn how to activate 2FA here.

How to check if you are accessing the genuine NiceHash domain?

You can always check if you are accessing the genuine NiceHash domain by checking the site certificate (Serial number 6633994000, Issued to: H-BIT d.o.o.).  Please read this article and learn how to check for the NiceHash site certificate in different browsers.

Notification for miners!

Please check if you see your NiceHash Miner in your rig manager online. If you don't, please try to restart the miner. If this does not help, please install the latest version which is 3.0.5.3. Additionally, flush your DNS cache by using this method: https://support.pearson.com/getsupport/s/article/Reset-an-Internet-Connection-Flush-DNS

If you are using NHOS and you have issues connecting:

1. First reboot your router!

2. Reboot NHOS.

If this does not resolve the connection issues, go to your router settings and set your DNS to 1.1.1.1 or 8.8.8.8, and repeat the steps above.

Thank you for your continuous support!

Your NiceHash team.
